Items and the forge
Gear is the main source of a hero's strength. Items drop from monsters, zone bosses, dungeons and chests, and you can buy them from merchants, win them at auctions or trade them with other players.
Equipment slots
A character wears items in eight slots: head, chest, hands, feet, weapon, off-hand, neck, finger.
Rarity
Every item has one of six rarities. The rarer it is, the more bonuses it has and the higher it can be upgraded:
- Common
- Magic
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythic
Legendary and mythic items are the rarest. They can carry unique bonuses you will not find on ordinary gear, and the server chronicle announces whenever someone finds one.
The forge
At the forge you upgrade items up to +15. An upgrade costs coins and resources from the worlds. Every level makes the item stronger, but the higher you go, the lower the chance of success - a failed attempt takes the cost, unless you use a Smith's Scroll, which returns the resources and half the coins. Items you do not need can be broken down into shards, which forge legendary weapons.
Soul stones
You set soul stones into your items. Stone types: Stone of Might, Stone of Life, Stone of Fortune, Stone of the Fortress, Stone of Wind, Stone of Wrath, Stone of Blood, Stone of the Eye. Stones come in several grades - combine weaker ones into a stronger one.
Backpack and auto-sell
Your backpack has limited space. To avoid clearing it by hand, turn on auto-sell: weak loot is instantly turned into coins. Lock important items with a padlock so you never sell them by mistake.
